Our project methodology for the implementation of successful planning and reporting systems can also be applied to existing projects that are running over time or over budget.

We have been called upon many times to help get projects that have gone off the rails back on track. We simply apply our methodology to ensure there is a well defined vision and set of goals for the project, a crystal clear scope, no unnecessary requirements, a single solution architect that is in charge of designing the solution, and a single project manager that will deliver the solution on time and within budget with the right approach.

We often find that where projects have gone off the rails, there is a lack of strong project management pushing back on scope creep, more than one solution architect often due to software module specialisations or multiple products, an incorrect focus on data and inputs rather than on the necessary outputs, and a disregard for the burn rate of the budget. This is all easy to fix.
